Experience Viand

At Viand Mercantile Portland we aim to provide you with a full sensory experience; from our garden sink where you can try our soap and bath products, to our bedroom where you can feel luxurious linens, all the way to enjoying taste with our curated bar and grocery items. We hope you'll spot our giant blue lobster installation for a smile, or laugh at something silly and fun. We bet you’ll find a special gift for the one you love, or spot a little something unique for yourself.

We promise to always greet you with a warm welcome and make you feel that Viand feeling.

our story

Jenny Bravo launched Viand Vintage in 2020 out of her photography studio. It was started as a way to provide her community with the props she so loved to curate and photograph in her work as a commercial food photographer and stylist. What started as an online shop morphed into seasonal pop-ups around Portland, Maine. After a few years of this routine, our amazing customers were clear that Viand would be welcomed as a permanent fixture in the Portland community. And so Jenny’s search for a brick & mortar location began. In 2023 we found our new permanent home at 470 Fore Street, and with the inspiration of such a beautiful location we knew it was time to rebrand into something bigger; into Viand Mercantile.

At Viand we believe that a layered home will always be the most genuinely designed home. From vintage objects to modern accessories and gifts, we want to help you make your home feel collected and inspired. We are proud to now offer both new and vintage items in a variety of home categories by artists, makers, and brands from across the globe. We hope you walk into each of your spaces and experience Viand.

Events
